Ghost In The Shell has been around for quite some time. It follows a cyborg by the name of Motoko Kusanagi in a futuristic Japan. Ghost In The Shell: The New Movie portrays Motoko right before the start of the original film, which was released back in 1995. As such it is a prequel, but it is also the final chapter in the recent Arise series, which explores Motoko before the events of Ghost In The Shell. The film is great, with an excellent protagonist in Motoko, a great plot with twists and turns and excellent animation. Ghost In The Shell Arise: Border 1 and 2 Review

Ghost in the Shell is probably one of the most popular and franchises from Production I.G. It began as a manga by Shirow Masamune and was since adapted into a film that missed the point, an animated series that was pretty good, a sequel to the anime series, another movie (that further missed the point) and whole bunch of other things until finally reaching this latest OVA series, Ghost in the Shell Arise. Ghost in the Shell 25th Anniversary Edition Review

Has it really been 25 years? Wow, that is a very long time. Ghost in the Shell is older than I am. That’s pretty awesome. Ghost in the Shell is the animated movie adaptation of the Shirow Masamune manga by the same name. The story follows a government foreign affairs policing squad known as Section 9 as they follow a case about a notorious hacker called The Puppetmaster. The movie is set in a future Tokyo where people are able to become cybernetic organisms living inside of cybernetic bodies, making them cyborgs.
